- Forma della serata: Viaggio completo, Warm-up, Peak time, Chiusura o Solo mixaggio.
4Leggi i passaggi
6Segui i consigli
Ci aiuta tantissimo!
1Load your tracks
Drag the files of your set into the dashed box at the top, or click it to choose them. MP3, WAV, FLAC and M4A all work (browsers can't read AIFF).
For every track Set Builder detects the BPM, the key (with its Camelot code, e.g. 8A = A minor) and the energy from 1 to 10. It takes about a second per track.
🔒 Your music is never uploaded anywhere: the whole analysis runs on your device.
2Choose the kind of night
- Night shape: Full journey, Warm-up, Peak time, Closing or Mixing only. The dashed line in the chart shows the ideal energy.
- Priorities: use the sliders to decide how much key, BPM, energy and genre matter.
- Opening and closing track: if you already know what you'll open or close with, pick it and it stays in place.
- Key Lock / Master Tempo: leave it off if you play like on turntables (the pitch also changes the key); turn it on if you use Master Tempo on CDJs.
3Order the set
- ✨ Sort for best mix: puts the tracks in the order with the best transitions for key, pitch and energy.
- ↗ Sort by BPM: slowest to fastest; press again for the opposite.
- You can also drag tracks by hand holding ⋮⋮ on the left.
At the top you see the set score (out of 100), the length, the BPM range and how many transitions need work.
4Read the transitions
Under each track there is the transition to the next one:
- ✓ Clean transition mixes without problems.
- ◐ Needs care works, but carefully (e.g. mode change, energy boost, high pitch).
- ✕ Critical transition clashing keys, too much pitch or an energy jump.
The line also tells you how much pitch you need (e.g. «pitch +2.8%») and, with Key Lock off, which key the track will sound in once pitched.
5Hear the transition in time
Press 🎧 Hear transition: the second track is brought to the BPM of the first, comes in on the kick with its bass cut, then the bass swap happens, just like on a mixer.
- ◀ 1 beat / 1 beat ▶: if the phrases sound out of line, shift the second track by one beat while it plays.
- ↺ Replay: starts again from the beginning, keeping the shift.
- 🔊 Volume: sets the listening level; Set Builder remembers it.
- ■: stops playback. With ▶ on a track you hear it on its own.
6Follow the tips
In the Tips section you find the weak transitions and what to do: split the pitch between the two tracks, use Key Shift, move another track of the set in between («Move» button).
If you put some tracks in ↓ Reserve, Set Builder suggests which one to insert or swap in to fix a transition.
7Fix things when needed
- BPM: type it in the field, or use ×2 / ÷2 if it was read double or half; ↺ goes back to the detected value.
- Key: pick it from the coloured menu. If you see «uncertain key», better check it by ear.
- Genre: set it to avoid sudden style changes.
Your edits stay saved on this device even when you load the tracks again.
8Save the set and tell us what you think
- 💾 Save set: give it a name (e.g. «Saturday house») and find it in 📁 My sets, with order, edits and settings. Open shows it straight away; to listen, drag the files in again and they are relinked automatically.
- ⚖ Compare sets: put two of them side by side (the open one too) to see which has the better transitions, the overlaid energy curves and the shared tracks.
- Export CSV (for Excel) or Copy set list as text, to paste wherever you like.
- 🗑 New set clears everything to load another night.
- 🪩 at the top turns the animated club background on or off (handy on slower phones).
- At the bottom of the page there's the feedback form: press «Prepare feedback» and then «📨 Send feedback». It helps us a lot!
